Establishment of Komori Technical Service Center in Asia

1. Background

Komori aims to deliver “Kando – Beyond Expectations” value and performance and strives to increase customer satisfaction as well as maximize product value. As a way to accomplish these goals, Komori will establish a Komori Asia Technical Service Center in a suburb of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to be completed in September. The Asian market, where sales are expanding, is an important market, and we will work on enhancing not only sales but also services. The purpose of the Komori Asia Technical Service Center is to increase the speed of service delivery and provide technical support to distributors, and we aim to transfer technology to the Asian region and increase the skills of our distributors’ technical workers and user operators.

Expected capital of between 50 million to 100 million yen

3. Operations

  1. Enhance training for customers’ technicians and operators in order to improve the capabilities of technical staff.
  2. Improve customer support capabilities by training distributor technicians and undertaking technology transfers.
  3. Visit customers regularly in order to provide thorough preventative maintenance before problems occur and thereby increase quality and productivity.
  4. Conduct demonstrations on actual presses as a means of supporting distributor sales activities.
  5. Provide support to distributors for the introduction and the installation of large machines or special machines so that customers can operate with confidence.
  6. Improve support for distributor service and quick response in handling large-scale repairs and sudden accidents.
