• The Lithrone S40, released in 2002 and the recipient of many industry awards, features even shorter makeready and greater reduction of paper waste due to further evolution and the integration of new technologies such as KHS-AI, the first time this system has been incorporated in a sheetfed press. These developments transform the Lithrone S40 into a press that meets the need for printing jobs such as short-run, short-turnaround and on-press proofing. The press ensures high productivity and profitability and also provides environmental friendliness by lowering the emission of printing-related CO2.
• Smart Sequence offers fully automatic control of processes from the end of production of one job to the start of final printing on the next job. Nonstop ink removing, blanket washing, platechanging, and pre-inking, high-speed startup at 12,000sph, test printing, and final printing at 16,000sph.
• Smart Feedback allows the operator to respond simply, quickly and with minimal paper waste to requests after test printing for changes in densities.
