The Tsukuba Plant is located in a corner of Japan's verdant Tsukuba Science City. On a site of 185,000 square meters, the plant consists of the factory, a research center, KGC, a training center, and company facilities that benefit the employees. With a simple and sharp exterior, the factory offers a temperature-controlled production environment that is optimal for the manufacture of precision machines. Improvement of quality and reliability
In addition to being equipped with a cutting edge production environment to deliver 'Tsukuba quality' and reliability to customers, facilities and equipment have been enlarged in order to accelerate research and development. Moreover, all production processes are individually certified, and a system of full printing tests before shipment has been established.

Pursuit of speed and efficiency
A revolutionary speed-up and increase in the efficiency of development, design, production and delivery are being driven forward to meet customer requests accurately and promptly. Eliminating waste and irregularity by means of thorough motion analyses of all processes is shortening manufacturing lead time. Further, tightly knit information networks are being built inside and outside the company, and a just-in-time system is employed for parts management.
ECOLOGY
Environmentally responsive use of natural energy
The plant uses a power generation system that uses natural energy such as solar and wind power as well as a gas air conditioning system and also pursues the reduction of electric power consumption and CO2 emissions out of concern for energy resources and to live in harmony with the community. It aims to strengthen its zero emissions approach by a waste separation area with more than 20 sections.

To educate the next generation of technical specialists, a full environment to improve management/technology is provided, including not only training facilities to improve production skills but also R&D facilities for basic and advanced research, experimental environments for testing durability and design review rooms.
Tsukuba Technical Training Dojo: Enhancing employee skills
The Tsukuba Technical Training Dojo provides skills training on sheetfed and web offset presses to continually improve the assembly and service skills of Komori Group employees. By qualitatively improving skills and service as a dojo that flexibly meets the changes in the industry, activities that contribute to customer value are being taught and delivered - another way Komori provides customer satisfaction and kando.
